Hi, I’m Sarabeth!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) with over ten years of experience as a therapist. I earned a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) and an Education Specialist degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi. I began my work with children in schools and have since worked in a variety of treatment and community settings with clients across the lifespan.

I believe in the power of PLAY! Play is essential across the lifespan, and I feel passionate about bringing playfulness, in one form or another, to therapy. Play is not just an action- it’s a feeling, an exploration, and a release. Play looks different at each age, but if you look closely enough you can see it. Play can include active engagement with toys, creating art, writing, or finding humor in a difficult situation. My goal is to provide a therapy space in which you and/or your child feel safe and comfortable to express, heal, and increase joy.

My areas of expertise include therapy with children, infant/child and caregiver, families, adolescents, and women, especially those in the perinatal and parenting stage of life. As an RPT, I use play as the primary way to connect with young children. The use of play by a skilled RPT allows for healing, skill building, and increased awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Play and expressive arts can also be utilized in fun and challenging ways through therapy with adolescents, families, and adults. I am passionate about supporting parents in the beautiful yet challenging experience of parenthood. I am a Perinatal Mental Health-Certified therapist (and a mom!) with experience providing therapy to pre-and post-natal moms. Additionally, I am a Certified FirstPlay Therapy Practitioner and Circle of Security Parent Facilitator which uniquely qualifies me to provide therapy and education to parent(s) of infants and toddlers to enhance bonding and attachment. I will work with you to determine your personal goals for therapy and the services and techniques that will help you meet them.

My greatest honor as a therapist is being welcomed into the lives of clients on their path to healing and loving connection. Please reach out to our office today for a free 20 minute consultation to determine how counseling can support you and which therapist is the best fit.
