Friends & Feelings Group for boys & Girls 7-9

The Feelings and Friends group aims to support boys & girls ages 7-9 in three key areas: social skills, emotional expression, and self-esteem. Your son and/or daughter will benefit from this group if they struggle to work in teams, show signs of anxiety in social situations, or need help expressing their thoughts and feelings to others.

Led by BPC therapist Juliet Duralde LPC-A, this group will provide a safe, accepting environment for your child to learn the skills they need to confidently navigate a variety of social settings. Rather than discuss how to theoretically manage feelings and friendships, kids who are part of the Feelings and Friends group will play and practice with other children in real-time.

Does your child (age 7-9) struggle to:

  • Feel comfortable in group settings?
  • Make friends?
  • Share their wants/needs with others?
  • Manage big feelings?
  • Feel confident or express positive self-esteem?
In this group, your child will learn tools to:
  • Enhance self-esteem through play and social connection.
  • Increase capacity for positive social engagement.
  • Grow comfort with navigating team and group-based activities.
Support for Parents:
  • Participants in this group will receive two FREE 30-minute parent sessions
  • Parents can schedule this session before and after the group meets
  • Parents will receive daily emails outlining session topics and skills learned.

Moms Support Group

Calling all HOUSTON AREA MOMS…

The definition of motherhood that is ‘sold’ to us through society, friends, parents, and social media is a happy-go-lucky, everything is wonderful version of motherhood.

The truth of the matter is motherhood is HARD. Motherhood is exhausting. Motherhood is anxiety provoking. Motherhood is not always fun.

It can feel like you are the only one experiencing the not fun parts of motherhood. If you choose to share the not fun parts or that you don’t enjoy every moment, you get criticized. Maybe you choose not to share but are consumed with guilt for not loving every moment. You are not alone.

Motherhood can be filled with the highest highs AND the lowest lows.

We are here to help support you on your journey of motherhood. To discuss the lows, the hardships, the parts of motherhood you (we) don’t enjoy without judgment. (Because, we get it.)

This group is meant to support ALL moms, no matter where you are on your journey; new mom, mom of multiple kids, mom of pre-adolescent; whatever stage of motherhood you are in, we are here for you.

This group is for you if you are…

  • Struggling with the mental load of motherhood
  • Having a hard time balancing all the tasks motherhood requires of you
  • Feeling isolated or alone; having to handle this on your own
  • Having a hard time with your identity outside of ‘Mom’
  • Wanting support from moms who get it

In this group we will discuss topics like…

  • Motherhood burnout
  • Mental load
  • Anxiety of motherhood
  • Discovering who you are outside of ‘Mom’
  • Many more topics similar to these

Join us starting September 6th as we meet on Wednesdays at 6 pm, in person, weekly, to discuss, support, and share about all parts of motherhood.

This group is led by Megan Griffith, LPC-A. Megan is a mom to a 1-year old little girl who understands the societal pressure and hardships of real-life motherhood (in her journey this far).

This support group will take place in person at 1001 S. Dairy Ashford, Suite 510.

The group is a monthly fee of $140 ($35/session). To register, follow this link:
