Generally, we have therapists in office Monday-Thursday from 10am-7pm. Our practicum students may also see clients on Fridays and Saturdays.
Our therapists are not in-network with any insurance companies. However, we are able to provide a superbill, upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement.
Our office requires 48 hours’ advance notice for cancellations. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance which be charged the full session fee. If you need to cancel a session, please call us at 713-364-8645 or email your therapist directly.
Because the length of treatment is dependent on several factors, it is impossible to know how many sessions you or your child may need. However, we do find that treatment for most lasts 6 months-1 year.
Typically, sessions are weekly for 50 minutes. As therapy progresses, sessions may reduce to biweekly depending on you/your child’s needs.
Our clinicians are trained to work with clients across the lifespan. This means that we work with all ages- children, teens, adults, families, and couples!
Play therapy is the least intrusive and most natural form of therapy for children. Since children usually express themselves in non-verbal ways, we use our play therapy training as a medium for finding clues to what is happening in your child’s inner world. Through play therapy, we help your child process these issues and form new responses.
